“I was selling my house and needed to throw out a lot of stuff and they made the process easy. I filled the garage, and I mean filled it, and they came the next day to clean it all out.”

Bulk day vs. us
What your bulk pickup won’t take, we will
In Palisades, your private garbage carter picks up bulk items once a month under Orangetown’s rules. For a full house, that’s not going to cut it. That’s where we come in.
| Orangetown curbside bulk pickup | Rockland Cleanouts | |
|---|---|---|
| How much | Up to 4 bulk items a month | As much as you’ve got, from one couch to a whole house |
| Size | Under 5 feet long, bundled | Any size: sectionals, hot tubs, sheds, pianos |
| Who carries it | You, out to the curb the night before | Our crew, from the attic, the basement or the second floor |
| When | Your carter’s one bulk day each month | A day that suits you. Sometimes the same day. |
| Renovation debris | Not accepted | Yes. We haul renovation and construction debris away. |
Bulk rules from the Town of Orangetown garbage and recycling page. If you only have a few small items, your carter’s bulk day is the cheapest option.
Around Palisades
Large homes and estate cleanouts
Palisades is known for its historic homes and estates, including the Snedens Landing area along the Hudson. Big houses collect a lot over the years. Our estate cleanouts are careful and respectful, room by room, and we work with families and realtors on timing.
Where things go
Getting rid of things in Palisades
A quick local guide, from the town’s own rules. Some of it you can do yourself for free.
- A few bulk items
- Your private garbage carter, once a month: up to 4 items, each under 5 feet. Put them out the night before.
- Hauling it yourself
- Orangetown Drop-Off Center at the Highway Department, 119 Route 303, Orangeburg. Bulk items, electronics and yard waste, with a permit from the Highway Department.
- Refrigerators and air conditioners
- The Freon has to be removed and red-tagged by a licensed Freon removal service first. Residents can then bring them to the Drop-Off Center.
- Paint and household chemicals
- Rockland County’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Pomona. It doesn’t go out at the curb.
- Old tires
- Rockland Green’s Bowline transfer station, 200 Beach Road, West Haverstraw.
- Electronics
- Free recycling options through New York State’s e-waste program, or the town Drop-Off Center.
- Everything else, any amount, carried out for you
- That’s us. Furniture, appliances, whole-house cleanouts and renovation debris, priced up front.
